He couldn’t deny it he felt something right at that moment, he couldn’t deny it anymore. He felt guilty. Guilty because he disappointed one of the closest people to him, Mishary.
He stopped at the traffic light and ran his fingers through his hair, and sighed.
He wanted to regain Misharys respect and he knew the only way he could do that is by gaining Layals forgiveness. He had no other choice.
____________
The next morning at the university.
Sager got to the university earlier than usual and decided to wait in his car.
He took a glance at the rear view mirror and saw Layals driver coming up. Sager got out of his car and looked at Layal as she got out of the car an onto her wheelchair.
Layal glanced at him then turned away quickly.
Sager went into the university without even saying a word to Layal.
Layal was a bit curious to why he didn't bother her, yet relieved at the same time.
Sager glanced at Jassim but ignored him and kept walking.
'mo mal eshoofny mishary wyaa' Sager thought to himself.
He shoved his hands into his pockets and kept walking.
______
"Tlgaynha mstansa 3ala il attention!" said a random girl.
"ee ashkara." replied the other girl.
Layal was disabled but she wasn't deft she heard it all. It really hurts when she has to hear nasty comments like that from time to time.
She ignored them and tried her best to get her mind off of the situation by reviewing for her quiz.
Sager watches Layal intently but made sure she wasn't able to see him.
Layal sighed when she noticed she forgot her textbook at home so she headed over to the library to borrow one.
Sager followed her into the library and stood on the side.
Layal, "Hello, I want to borrow a text book." she requested while pointing at a text book.
The librarian nodded an pulled out the book, "ID card?"
Layal rubbed her head, "I don't have it, I'll just borrow it for half an hour I promise!"
The librarian shook his head, "No can do. We have to have some form of identification ."
Layal bit he lip, just as she was about to leave Sager walked over and placed his card over the counter.
The librarian looked at him, puzzled.
"Use mine...", said Sager breaking the silence.
"You know you will be responsible if anything happens to the book.",
Warned the librarian.
Sager nodded and pushed the card further towards the librarian.
The librarian took the card and handed Layal the text book.
Just as she was about to return the book and give Sager a piece of her mind she turned and he already was far gone.
Layal rolled her eyes and sighed, she took the book since she really had to review.
The problem was she kept thinking of what happened with Sager.
