Chapter 8

She looked up and saw a face she has been having nightmares of for the past week, Sager.

He handed her purse to her without making eye contact.
Layal snatched her purse from him and quickly rolled off.

‘I hate him! I hate him! He is the reason for all of this!’ She thought to herself.

Sager rolled his eyes and sighed.

He felt someone poke his shoulder and he turned around, it was Jassim.

“Halaaaaa! Wainik mkhtfy?!” greeted Jassim.

‘Moo wagtk int il thany’, Sager thought to himself.

“hala…hala….” Sager relpied looking unenthusiastic.

“Shfeek?” Asked Jassim.

“La mako shey.” Replied Sager.

“Inzain agool shft Layal al flany? Nshalat.” Jassim said it without any sympathy.

Sager snaped at him, “Wint shako feeha?! O laish teebly 6areeha a9lan?!”

“Hady hady shgayl ana? Moo int sa2l 3anha mn fatra?” replied Jassim, looking confused.

“Ee o khair ya 6air?! Bl 6agag ily e6gha ana shako feeha?!” Sager looked frustrated.

“khala9 khala9 flha shfeek imnafs ilyom?!” Jassim answered back.

“ooooo 3ad int khala9 mako shey!” Sager answered back.

Sager stormed off and went outside of the university building to get some air.

Layal was there, that was the most isolated place she could find, she didn’t notice that sager was around.

Layal felt terrible everyone was staring at her and treating her as a nobody. Whoever offered her a smile wasn’t out of kindness it was just because they felt sorry for her. She hated feeling helpless and weak, nothing is the same anymore.

Her once perfect life has turned into a real life nightmare.

Memories started rushing through her mind, memories of the good times. Times when she was happy and her biggest worries would be around getting a good grade on a quiz or a test.

She had a virtually perfect life before the accident. Layal felt like she wasn’t herself anymore, not the same girl from a week ago.

Slowly tears started running down her face.

Sager watched from afar

Layal turned around and saw him, “Shtaby int?! moo kafy ily sawayta?!” Layal was just going through a breakdown.

Sager jumped a bit, “Agool intey! Ana shako?!  Awalan moo jam3at oboch agdar akoon bl mokan ily aby wagt ma aby, o ana Moo gltlch 9f6ay 3ala janb ma7ad galch doosay!”

Layal paused, she was shocked from his reaction, “Inta shno?! Ma t7s 3ala damk?!”

Sager smirked a bit, “walla zain gomtay tkalmeeny.”

Layal couldn’t handle looking at his face for one more second; she couldn’t believe someone could be this heartless. She rubbed her tears and rolled off.
